Our bookstore, the Christian Science Reading Room in Newburyport, is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and find a quiet moment for reflecting on what is truly important: finding your connection to God. It is your local resource for Bibles, Bible reference books, and Christian Science study materials including the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, to guide you on your spiritual journey.
You will find the Bible and Science and Health, the two books which Mrs. Eddy ordained as the pastor of our church, marked with the weekly lesson sermon and available for study throughout the week. This is the same lesson which will be read aloud at the Sunday service and discussed in Sunday School in Christian Science churches throughout the world.
People have found that the study of these books can help bring answers to life’s challenges. The Christian Science Sentinel, a weekly publication, and The Christian Science Journal, a monthly publication, are full of current accounts of healings experienced by studying those books.
